Laurence Peña
General Manager
Laurence Pena brings a wealth of knowledge to TewaCom Wireless garnered from over 10 years experience in the telecommunications industry. He has held significant positions in management, sales and marketing with some of the industry’s giants. Mr. Pena began his career with US West Cellular which eventually grew to become what is now Verizon Wireless. After a brief sidestep in the hospitality business with Santa Fe’s largest hotel, the Eldorado, he returned to his telecommunications roots by joining Sprint. He spent five years with Sprint through what is considered to be the most innovative and expansive period for the entire telecommunications sector. In 2006, Laurence was hired as an expert consultant on issues concerning telecommunications and human resources for the San Ildefonso Enterprise Corporation (SIEC), a newly created entity wholly owned by the Pueblo de San Ildefonso. In January of 2007, he was named Tewa Communications @ San Ildefonso’s General Manager. As head of Tewa Communications @ San Ildefonso and TewaCom Wireless, his focus and vision continues to concentrate on the excellence of customer service with the goal of generating revenue and prestige for the entire organization.

Edward L. Pando
Network Operations Manager
Edward L. Pando comes to TewaCom Wireless with over 20 years of high end technical expertise to his credit. Following a distinguished service record with the US Coast Guard, Mr. Pando received numerous technical certifications from a variety of well-respected institutions, including the University of New Mexico. In 1989, he was hired by the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to serve as Network Administrator. At LANL, he worked on an impressive array of cutting edge systems including Oracle 6.0-8.0 design, Novell, Windows, WANG homogenous network management, and many more. Ed joined the private sector in 1998 with IT Corporation and Shaw E&L, whose primary customer was the LANL. While with Shaw, he managed a $3.6 million a year task order. In 2003, Ed started his own company, Cyber Spectra, which specialized in consulting on information technology issues. The San Ildefonso Enterprise Corporation chose Cyber Spectra to implement the Rural Utilities Services (RUS) grant that led to the creation of Tewa Communications @ San Ildefonso and TewaCom Wireless. But, the need for Ed’s vast technical knowledge and more constant supervision quickly became apparent. In May of 2007, Mr. Pando was named to head the Network Operations division of the newly formed telecommunications entity.
