Solar Powered
Tewa Broadband’s remote water tank installations are powered by 2 Solar Panels which produce 30 volts, 30 amps of power 24/7,365 days a year. The Solar Panels are connected to a controller. The controller has 2-12 volt batteries that are constantly charged by the solar panels. All the Ethernet devices or the (Load) run off of the batteries with an average load voltage of 27 volts +/-, 27 Amps +/-. Solar Voltaic Panels draw power from the Sun and the Moon or even the slightest amount of Light. For this reason it is almost impossible to prevent the Solar Panels from producing power even on the darkest of nights. With our Solar Powered network, Tewa Broadband is doing its part to help our environment.
